These Copper Braided sleeves/ tubes are made of tinned copper wire carriers and are used for screening the MV cable Joints. Some designs deploy copper wire mesh which is to be applied half overlapped whereas the Copper braided tubes are simply mounted over cores before joining of conductor & thereafter used for screening the insulated cores in conjunction with constant force springs.
